Our name
The story of our name
In Akkadian, the language of Akkad, Babylon and Assyria, the verb râmu means to love.
Scribes pressed it into clay for more than one kind of bond: in royal inscriptions, the bond between a king and his gods; in poetry, the tenderness between two people; in letters, the loyalty between one who relies and one who is relied upon.
We chose it as our name because our work rests on that same bond: standing beside those who arrive, and building what others rely on.
